I have never seen the movie Deadpool but I have heard it is very funny. I am a big Ryan Reynolds fan so I have no problem believing that this movie is great. I enjoy how you explain that Deadpool is such a big hit because of the fact that it is a superhero movie and a comedy rolled into one. Because you, Katie, explained what happens in the movie I feel like I am better able to follow along when you explain the benign violation and the incongruity in this lead blog post. I agree with the fact that you think one of the best parts of the movie is Deadpool's sense of humor. I have seen clips and/or memes from this movie that have been very funny. I think it is an interesting aspect of the movie that Deadpool talks directly to the viewers. I feel like this is pretty uncommon with large movies like this but I think that it makes the movie sort of more appealing because the viewers feel more included. After watching the "Maximum Effort" Highway Scene, I now think this is a much watch movie. I was surprised at how funny Deadpool could be in this one clip. I am assuming it continues throughout the movie or else it would not be such a huge success. I see how this scene can have benign violation because it is a very funny part of the movie but Deadpool does not cross any extreme lines when making funny comments during his time fighting the bad guys. I also see how incongruity theory could be a major part in the comedy in this movie because in the middle of the car flipping over Deadpool sticks his head out of the sunroof and says "did I leave the stove on?"
